New Florence, PA Train Wreck, Dec 1907

WRECKED CARS BLOCKED TRACKS.

Broken Rail Caused Trouble Near New Florence.

Thursday morning, about 3:20 a west bound freight train, in charge of Jesse C. Dudley, engineman, and Edward B. McKelvey, conductor, was wrecked near New Florence, the engine and 11 cars having been piled up blocking both No.1 and No. 2 tracks.

The cause of the wreck is said to have been a spreading or broken rail. Fortunately no one was injured, although both the west bound tracks were completely blocked.
