Man Killed by Lightning

Special to The Inquirer.

MT. CARMEL, Pa., July 16.---A severe rain and hailstorm swept over this city last evening. Lightning struck Thomas Sederick and his brother, Peter. The former was instantly killed, and the latter is in a serious condition. They were putting a team of horses in a stable at the time and the animals were badly injured. The Church of Our Lady was also struck by lightning and damaged to an extent of several hundred dollars. Judge Autens' home was slightly damaged. The hail that followed the rain ruined every garden in Mount Carmel and broke many windows. In the farming districts thousands of dollars' damage resulted.
