TWO STRUCK BY AUTOS; POLICEMAN BADLY HURT
Thrown From Horse When it Shies at Motor
In accidents in which automobiles figured three persons were injured yesterday and last night.
Crossing Broad street at Cambria last night, Edward S. Musten, 84 years old, of 1511 Fairmount avenue, was struck by an automobile driven and owned by Charles S. Bacharach, of 1825 Erie avenue. The aged man was taken to the Samaritan Hospital by Bacharach. It was found that his collarbone had been fractured and that he had sustained numerous bruises. He was later taken to his home. Bacharach surrendered to the police of the Falls of Schuylkill station and was released in his own recognizance.
Joseph Cregar, 48 years old, of Belmont Heights, was struck by an automobile at Main and Gay streets, Manayunk. At St. Timothy's Hospital it was found that his injuries consisted of lacerations and bruises. Harry S. Bosworth, of 1419 Master street, driver of the auto, was arrested and later released by the police of the Manayunk station.
Thrown from his horse when it shied at an automobile yesterday afternoon. William Findley, 45 years old, a mounted policeman of the Sixty-fifth street and Woodland avenue station, receiaed [sic] concussion of the brain. He was taken to the University Hospital, where his condition is considered serious. Findley lives at 2220 Bonafin terrace. The accident occurred at Sixty-fifth street and Saybrook avenue.
