WILKES-BARRE, Pa., Aug 20. - Fire was discovered early today at the home of JOHN YANK, of Swoyersville. Neighbors discovered the flames and when they got to the YANK home it was to discover that husband, wife, and six children were all sound asleep.

The flames had almost enveloped the building when YANK was awakened. He aroused the others and then leading the way and forming a human chain by holding hands they fought their way through the flames and smoke in their night clothes escaped.
