RAILROAD ACCIDENT.

Six Persons Killed and Several Injured in Pennsylvania.

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 26.---A terrible accident occurred at Westport, Penn., on the Philadelphia & Erie railroad to-day. A passenger and freight train collided, killing Conductor Hyman, Engineer McCormick, and unknown fireman and R. C. Brown of Lock Haven, Mr. Ward of Belleforte, and Mr. Rubright of St. Mary's.

Another accident occurred on the Schuylkill & Susquehanna railroad near Forge Station. The train ran over three cows, opsetting[sic] the cars. Mars' Jackson of Suncannon, was injured.
