Plumville, PA Creamery Fire, Jul 1900

Creamery Destroyed by Fire.

Fire completely destroyed the creamery at Plumville, owned by George & McGaughey, Tuesday night of last week, at about 11 o'clock. The fire was started by the furnace. The only thing saved from the building was the cream separator. The loss is fully covered by insurance. Had it not been for the prompt and vigorous response of the volunteer fire brigade, a number of nearby houses would have been destroyed.
