SHOEMAKERSVILLE, Pa., July 14.----While bathing in the Schuylkill canal with a number of companions, Calvin Reber, aged 20 years, son of James Reber, a prominent farmer, residing near this place, was drowned. The young man was in the middle of the channel, and as he was sinking he cried for help, but sank out of sight before his companions could reach him.
