Oil Well Driller Burned to Death.
PITTSBURG, Aug. 24.----John Goggs, an oil well driller, was burned to death by an explosion of gas at an oil well he was drilling near Noblestown. Only a small portion of his charred remains were found. The gas was struck unexpectedly and gushed from the well in such a volume that it was ignited by the fire under the boiler before Goggs could escape. The derrick and other buildings were burned. An immense flame of burning gas is roaring in the air baffling all efforts to extinguish it. Gogg's assistant had an arm and leg broken.
