YOUNG WORKMAN WHIRLED TO DEATH

Emil Bibly's Clothing Caught in Cog Wheel at Mill Where He Was Employed

Emil Bibly, aged 17, of 1917 Orthodox street, was instantly killed yesterday afternoon by being caught in machinery at the mill of Greenwood & Bault, Oxford and North streets, Frankford.

The fatal accident occurred within view of the unfortunate young man's fellow-workmen, who were unable to assist him. Young Bibly was working at his machine when his sleeve became caught in the cogs. Before he could release himself he was drawn toward the ceiling with terrific force.

His cries aroused the other workmen in the room and the machinery was stopped as quickly as possible. Before this was done, however, the boy's body was whirled around with fearful rapidity, striking the ceiling at each revolution. When the flying wheels were finally halted it was found that Bibly was horribly mangled, life having fled during the awful whirl.

The bleeding remains were carried from the room and the police of Frankford station at once notified. The body was removed to the Morgue, where it was identified several hours later by sorrowing relatives.
