5 BLOWN TO ATOMS NEAR WILLIAMSPORT

Fearful Explosion Occurs in Powder Manufacturing Company's Plant at Sinnemahoning.

WILLIAMSPORT, June 18.---Five men were blown to atoms in an explosion of the Gelatine department of the Sinnemahoning Powder Manufacturing Company's plant Sinnemahoning at 8:15 o'clock this morning. Hardly fifty pounds of the combined weight of the bodies of the men were found. The dead:

EDWARD COLE and son HARRY;
BILL MOORE SUMMERSON,
J . B. NELSON, both of whom have families,
and SAMUEL SHADMAN, single.

The roof was blown from another part of the factory. Two men were slightly hurt by flying debris.

Torn to Fragments by Explosion in Pennsylvania.

Williamsport, Pa., June 18.---Five men were killed in an explosion in the gelatine department of the Sinnemahoning Powder Manufacturing Company at Sinnemahoning, Pa., today.

The dead:

BILL McSUMMERSON.
EDWARD COLE.
J. B. NELSON.
HARRY COLE.
SAMUEL SHADMAN.

Only fragments of their bodies were found.
