Denver, PA Runaway Accident, Aug 1911

LANCASTER.---Silas E. Bard. proprietor of the Denver, Pa., Press, and S. W. Miller, of the same borough, were injured in a runaway accident yesterday. They were descending a steep hill near Denver when the horse pulling their carriage became frightened and ran off. Both men were thrown out and rendered unconscious. A passerby discovered their plight and removed them to their homes. Miller sustained a broken collar bone and Bard has slight concussion of the brain and severe body bruises.
