Special to The Inquirer.

HAZLETON, Pa., Aug. 17.---Sparks form a steam engine running an oats threshing machine set fire to the hay in the barn of A. F. Howes, of Butler Valley, this evening and destroyed the building and all of the season's crops; loss, $6,000, partially insured. The barn had an asbestos roof and cement fire walls which crumbled from the heat.
