PHILLIPSBURG LAD DROWNS BY HOME

Raymond Whigham, 6 years old, will be burned Sunday afternoon from the Nazarene church in California, with interment in Highland cemetery. The lad was drowned late Wednesday night when he went swimming in the Monongahela river at Phillipsburg near California, but a short distance from his home.

The little fellow had left his home at 6:30 and gone in company with other boys to the river. It is said his companions left him and in some way he went down in the river to his death.

His parents, missing him, instituted a search and the body was found 45 minutes later by Mitro Milian, one of the searching party. Efforts to revive him failed.

Raymond is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whigham and on brother and six sisters.
