Farmington, PA Sawmill Accident, Mar 1909

----On March 13th Mr. E. Leonard, who runs a saw-mill in Farmington, had a narrow escape from death or serious injury. His clothing was caught in a wheel and he was whirled around the shaft until his clothing was completely stripped off, and he was thrown several feet. Workmen who witnessed the accident ran to Mr. Leonard expecting to find him dead but were amazed when he opened his eyes and said, "Gee whizz' didn't I go some?" Over the shaft was a large beam between which and the shaft his body was whirled. Besides a dislocated hip and a few bruises, Mr. Leonard was not injured.
