PLANE CRASH FATAL TO ONE.

New Castle, Pa., Nov. 29. -- (AP) -- FLEMING W. COMSTOCK, 18, a passenger, was killed and ARTHUR BARTLETT, 21, pilot, was injured when an airplane crashed at Edenburg, near here, this evening. BARTLETT was said to have suffered only minor hurts, while COMSTOCK'S neck was broken.
The ship was forced down by engine trouble, and when it was sent into the air again it fell to the ground in a nose-dive, witnesses said.
Both young men were students at Westminster college at New Wilmington, Pa. BARTLETT was granted a private pilot's license about two months ago.
The plane came down within three feet of the home of Chalmers Maughn, and just before it struck the ground a wing was ripped off as the craft ran into the top of a tree. Witnesses said the plane had been flying at a low altitude for some time before the crash.
