Grantham, PA Factory Fire, Apr 1956

$3 MILLION BLAZE THREATENS TOWN.
Harrisburg, Pa., April 28 (AP) -- A three-million dollar fire in an aircraft parts factory in nearby Grantham destroyed the factory and threatened the small central Pennsylvania community today.
Stores of magnesium in the building exploded as flames consumed the two-story, 250-foot long brick building. A shower of sparks from the explosions started a brush fire three-quarters of a mile away. It was quickly extinguished.
Firemen from 10 companies, including some from Harrisburg, wetted down houses in the town of 250 population to protect them from the showers of sparks.
