Altoona, PA Train - Mail Post Accident Aug 1904

Fireman Numer Struck by Mail Post.

W. E. Numer, a Middle division fireman, while leaning out the engine cab window yesterday morning, was struck by a mail post on the left temple. A deep gash was cut in the temple. The accident occurred near Union Furnace and Numer was taken to Huntingdon, where his injuries were dressed. He was later brought to his boarding house, at 809 Eighth avenue, this city.
