One of the victims, MRS. NETTIE CLARK, 80, formerly of Youngsville, Pa., died of suffocation shortly after she was removed from the building.
The missing dead were identified as JAMES DURLIN, 12; THOMAS DURLIN, 10; JOSEPH DURLIN, 14, and JOANNE DURLIN, 16; MAUDE STROUPE, 75, Union City, Pa., and MERLE NOURSE, 70, no known address.
The orphans' sister, PATRICIA, 15, escaped from the blazing building along with MRS. J. A. McCOY, operator of the home, and MRS. MARY McCOMB, 55, Union City.
