Slate Run, PA Train Accident, May 1902

Killed on Log Railroad.

Andrew Quinn, aged 33, was killed Saturday by the cars near Slate Run. While on his was to the woods to work for Weed & Co., he had boarded a log train on the narrow gauge road. Where he was killed he had failed in an attempt to jump aboard a rapidly moving car and fell beneath its wheels. His neck and back were broken, and his body was mangled frightfully from head to foot. Quinn's parents live in Campton, N.Y.
