TWO MEN KILLED IN THIRD EXPLOSION AT AETNA PLANT

Building Contained Large Quantity of Nitro-Glycerine

Kane, Pa., Feb. 24. -- Two men were killed and several had a narrow escape from death in an explosion which totally destroyed the nitroglycerine plant of the Aetna Explosives company at Emporium late this afternoon.

The dead:

Victor Sunderland, aged 32, married

John Yocum, aged 32, married.

The explosion which was the third fatal explosion to occur at the Emporium plant since it was erected ten months ago, could be heard for miles. The building contained a large quantity of nitro-glycerine and fortunately, only two men were in the building at the time. Many in nearby buildings had narrow escapes and several of them were struck by flying timbers.
