Latrobe, PA Auto Crash, Sep 1933

TWO HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS KILLED IN AUTO CRASH.
Latrobe, Pa., Sept. 23. -- (AP) -- A laughing group of high school girls and boys returning from a football game in an automobile, crashed into a street car yesterday and two girls were killed.
Five others in the party were injured.
The dead:
HELEN MacDONALD, 17.
MARTHA LLOYD, 17.
The injured:
MARY LLOYD, 16, MARTHA'S sister.
MARTHA HAWKS, 16.
AMBROSE HALEY, 19.
PAUL SPENCER, 22.
DYKE MYERS, 21.
The party had seen Latrobe defeat Washington township, 32 to 0, and was entoute to their homes near Vandergrift.
A third death occurred about the same time. HERMAN MAGGLORE, 14, of Latrobe was killed trying to jump on the running board of a truck after witnessing the game.
