DRUNK, HE SETS JAIL AFIRE

Prisoner Is Rescued Half Suffocated and Sent Home.

WESTON, Or., Oct. 3. - (Special.) - A fire alarm was sounded yesterday afternoon, and clouds of smoke were found to be pouring from the town jail. The only occupant, a young man named Lloyd Kinnear, was dragged out in a suffocating condition and taken to his home for medical treatment. Kinnear had been arrested on a charge of drunkenness and set fire to the jail bedding, matches having been smuggled in to him by someone.

About a year ago Kinnear effected his release in a similar manner.
