Boy’s Drowning 15th State Death

Death of Donald LeRoy Wolff, 2, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Wolff, Rt. 1, Central Point, brought to 15 the death toll for the week end throughout the state.

The boy drowned in an irrigation ditch near his home about 7 p. m. Sunday. He apparently fell into the ditch while digging worms with his two brothers.

The body of another holiday drowning victim, Earl Booth, 23, Tillamook, still hadn’t been recovered Monday night. Booth drowned Sunday in the ocean off Terra Del Mar, about 25 miles south of Tillamook.

Hallie Ireland, Tillamook county sheriff, said Monday that search planes and a party of volunteers on foot had not turned up any trace of Booth’s body. He said his office would continue the search until it is found.
