A TOTAL LOSS.

The Town of Afton, I. T., on the Frisco Burned.

REPUBLIC SPECIAL.

Vinita, I. T., Sept. 24.----The town of Afton, 12 miles east of this city, was burned this afternoon. The entire business part of the town was burned, including the Frisco section-house and a portion of the railroad track. It is impossible to estimate the damage at this time. No great amount of insurance was carried and everything is practically a total loss. Afton was a town of 800 population, with several large stores of general merchandise, drugs, lumber, hotels, etc.
