STREET CAR HITS AN AUTOMOBILE

An automobile belonging to the B. E. Gridley Auto company, 508 West Main street, was struck by in-going street car No. 39, at midnight Thursday, badly damaging the machine. The automobile was leaving the garage and was occupied only by the driver, who escaped unhurt. Witnesses declare the street car was going at a fast rate of speed, and Officer W. A. Parker stepped the distance from where the machine was first struck to where it was dropped and he declared it to be seventy-two steps. The street car was in charge of motorman 151.
