CHEROKEE SEMINARY.

Muskogee, Okla., March 20. -- Fire today destroyed the main building of the Cherokee Seminary at Tahlequah, one of the oldest institutions of the Cherokee nation. Personal effects of the two hundred Indian students were lost. The loss on the building is estimated at $75,000. The seminary was built in 1856 by Cherokee Indians who hauled the material for its construction more than seventy-five miles overland.
