Edna S of Dallas Has Neck Broken – Two Jockeys Hurt, One Fatally, at Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City, Ok., June 10. – One horse was killed, one jockey fatally injured and another jockey not dangerously hurt when a mixup (sic) occurred at the first turn into the back stretch during the first race at Fair Park here today. The jockey, who is expected to die, is R. SMALL, who was riding Witness. J. DENNY, riding Edna S, was thrown from his horse and his left shoulder bone was broken. Edna S, a mare owned by H. T. BACHELOR & Co. of Dallas, turned a complete somersault over Witness when the latter fell, tripped by a horse in advance and her neck was broken.
