UNIVERSITY BUILDING DESTROYED BY FIRE.

Norman, Okla., Dec. 21. -- The administration building of the University of Oklahoma was completely destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon.
Two painters were using a gasoline stove to heat paint when an explosion occurred, causing the dome to catch fire. The fire quickly spread over the third floor and in less than an hour and a half the walls had fallen to the ground.
The Norman fire department was called but being a mile away, was of little use.
School was dismissed at 12:30 o'clock for the Christmas vacatioin and a majority of students had left for their homes.
The building was valued at $100,000, with $67,000 insurance.
