Chamber of Commerce Before Fire Ruins of the Building Inside of Burned Out Building

FIRE LOSS OVER $1,000,000.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUILDING AT CINCINNATI TOTALLY WRECKED BY CONFLAGRATION.

Cincinnati, Jan. 11. -- A fire which will probably exceed $1,000,000 in the value of the property damaged broke out here early in the evening. The Chamber of Commerce building, containing the Business Men's club, the Louisville & Nashville railroad office, that of the railroad commissioner, E. E. WILLIAMSON, and the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, was totally wrecked. At the time the fire occurred there were about 300 people in the building, 50 of them being big insurance men from all parts of the country. Two men are missing. The blaze started in the kitchen of the Business Men's club on the seventh floor. The number of injured was given out as 12 men, all except one of them being members of the fire department.
