CITY BUILDING IN OHIO STATE CAPITAL DESTROYED BY FIRE -- OTHER BUILDINGS DESTROYED.

Columbus, Jan. 13. -- The city hall, which occupied a site directly opposite the State House, one of the oldest buildings in the Ohio Capital, was destroyed by fire last night. The blaze originated on the third floor, in a gallery above a gymnasium floor. All of the occupants left the building in safety, including a party of children, playing in the gymnasium. The fire spread to the Grand Theater, at the east, and the firemen turned their attention to saving this and other nearby buildings. The heat was so intense that glass in windows of the State House was broken.
