Lemoyne, OH Train Derailment, Sep 1910

HOCKING VALLEY TRAIN IS DITCHED.
THREE KILLED AND TEN INJURED NEAR TOLEDO.
Toledo, Sept. 13. -- Three persons were killed and at least ten more or less seriously injured, when Hocking Valley passenger train No. 38 was wrecked between Lemoyne and Cummins, near here. The dead:
GEORGE MILBOURNE, Columbus, engineer on locomotive.
L. C. ENGLER, road foreman, Columbus.
G. J. DeVILBISS, superintendent of motive power, Columbus.
It is reported that the wreck was due to collapse of parts of the locomotive, which was of new design and was being tested under the direction of Superintendent DeVILBISS and Foreman ENGLER. The yardmaster's office at Toledo reported that the accident was probably caused by a broken rail. The train was running at a speed of about 15 miles an hour. The entire train left the track.
