YEGGS CAUSE OF A BIG FIRE LOSS AT SIDNEY.

Sidney, O., March 19. -- Started, it is believed by yeggmen who blew the safe of the THEIDIECK Dry Goods Store, fire early today destroyed business property on the court house square here. The buildings burned were THEIDIECK'S department store, the HENRY YOUNG & Sons' Clothing Store, and the H. LIERBERMAN Dry Goods store, entailing a loss of $250,000.
No lives were lost. The city National bank was also badly damaged but officials say the vault, which contained a large amount of money, is fire proof.
Outside help was summoned from Bellefontaine, Wapaukoneta and Piqua but the local firemen had the blaze under control before they arrived.
An explosion heard by a number of citizens before the police discovered the blaze is believed to have caused the fire.
