Springfield, OH Bus - Train Wreck, Jul 1915

BUS DRIVER AND PASSENGER KILLED.

Springfield, Ohio, July 12.--- H. A. WISE, driver of a jutney bus, and MRS. BELLE HAMILTON, a passenger, were instantly killed this morning when the automobile was struck by a Big Four work train. They were on their way to Springfield from TeTerre Haute, Ohio.

Wise and Mrs. Hamilton were the only occupants of the bus. A view of the tracks at Bowlusville was obstructed by a string of freight cars standing on a siding and the train struck the jitney amidships demolishing it.

The bodies of Wise and Mrs. Hamilton were taken to Urbana. Both lived in Bowlusville.
