FATAL EXPLOSION OF WHISKY

Special Dispatch to the New York Times.

WHEELING, West Va., July 11.--While playing in his father's saloon, at Steubenville, Ohio, this afternoon, John Staugherty, a boy 12 years of age, fell against a barrel, partly filled with whisky, which was sitting in a window on the sunny side of the room, and by some unknown accident caused the barrel to explode, which resulted in killing the boy and scattering things in the room.
