BOILER CAUSES BAD EXPLOSION.

Ashtabula, Feb. 11. -- (AP) -- The engineer and fireman of a New York Central freight train were killed and a brakeman injured, when the first locomotive of the train, a double-header, exploded near here yesterday.
The dead are:
WILLIAM BAUMGARDNER, 47, engineer.
LEWIS P. HIBBS, 33, fireman.
C. E. FISHER, the brakeman, received severe cuts and bruises.
Injector trouble is believed to have caused the explosion. The second engine was not damaged. The two engines were pulling a long strong of empties at the time of the accident which occurred near Carson Mills six miles south of Ashtabula.
