Child Burned to Death at Lancaster, O.

Special Dispatch to the Cincinnati Gazette.

LANCASTER, O., April 22.---The dwelling houses of Joseph Mirgen, a painter and Jas. McSweeney, grocer, were entirely destroyed by fire last night. Mr. Mirgen, while being left in an utterly destitute condition, losing all his worldly goods,even to everyday wearing apparel, was doubly afflicted by one of his little children, Aggie, a girl of eight years of age, being smothered to death, and another, a young man, being horribly burned. Mirgen's loss is about $3,000, with no insurance. McSweeney's, $1,300, with $1,000 insurance in the Franklin of Columbus. A relief fund of $300 was raised this afternoon for the benefit of the Mirgen family. Aggie, the child, was buried this evening.
