FIRE AT VERSAILLES.

DARKE COUNTY TOWN ABLAZE THIS AFTERNOON.

On July 4th the town of Versailles, Darke county, celebrated by starting a water works and electric light plant. They had good opportunity for using the water works service soon after its completion, as fire started today in the REED elevator, operated by FRANK DIDIER, in the business part of town and opposite the Big Four depot.
At 3 o'clock this afternoon a telegram stated that the flames had extended to the KLEINSMITH brick block, and it was feared that the Snyder Hotel would also burn. The Greenville Fire Department was called on for assistance.
