Grand Forks, ND Thrown From Water Tank, Jan 1912
BOTH LEGS WERE BROKEN.
Matt Daily Thrown From Water Tank Suffering Serious Injury.
Matt Daily, employed by William Boyd, the local waterman, met with a serious accident yesterday afternoon, when he had both legs broken just above the ankle. Daily, with Boyd, was riding on a big water tank, placed on a snow sleigh, when, in going around a corner, the reach broke and the two men were thrown off the tank. Daily was thrown in such a way that when the tank left the rest of the sleigh it fell on both his legs. He was rushed to St. Michael's hospital, where an examination showed that both legs were broken just above the ankles.
