Raleigh, NC Lightning Strike and Fire, Jun 1911

Raleigh, N. C. June 12. -- The business section of Apex, this county, was swept away by fire today. Seven stores and the two banks were destroyed. Lightning striking a restaurant started the fire. The loss will be about $60,000.
