Asheville, NC House Collapses Feb 1906

AGED MERCHANT KILLED.
Three Others Injured by Collapsing of Residence Being Raised.
Asheville, N. C., Feb. 16.---T. J. REVELL, aged 49, a merchant, was instantly killed and three others were seriously injured by the collapsing of the REVELL home on Central avenue this afternoon. The house was being raised 14 feet to place it on the level with the street. It was very old and crumbled into debris when the lifting jack was removed.
