Monticello, NY Hit and Run Accident, Jul 1931
POLICE SEEK DRIVER OF A HIT AND RUN CAR
MONTICELLO---State Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver in a green Ford roadster, who Monday about noon demolished a car driven by Morris Bernstein, proprietor of the Masten Lake Hotel and struck a car owned by Roy Loftin of the Buffalo Guard Rail corporation, who was working on Route Seventeen.
The accident occurred at Rock Hill. A Dr. Gottlieb and Bernstein were both slightly injured, but did not go to the hospital. The roadster is reported to have driven the car operated by Bernstein over a bank and grazed the other car. The driver sped on in the direction of Middletown.
