Eastport School Fire
In 1912, the two story wood school was completed at a cost of $12,000.... In 1927, Eastport voters approved a brick addition to the school at a cost of $112,000 and it opened October 5, 1928. On April 27, 1931, the two-story wood school caught fire and burned down, but the new brick section was saved..... The brick school in Eastport is now kindergarten through sixth grade.
