Three Persons Injured in Accidents Here; Automobiles Collide
David La Porte 34 an Indian, who was struck by an automobile driven by Henry P. J. Maurer, 250 Elk Street, is in the Crouse-Irving Hospital with an injury to his head It was first believed he had suffered a fractured of the skull. Attending physicians said his condition was greatly improved today. La Porte was crossing Renwick Avenue, near West Taylor Street when the accident happened.
When cars driven by Charles Baker Marcellue and A Bloom 821 South McBride Street, collided last night at Eric Boulevard and South West Street Baker suffered minor facial lacerations, according to a report made to Acting Detective Fee.
Irving Ecker, 26, of 611 Pond Street, is in St. Joseph Hospital with an injury to his back, suffered this morning when he landed on the rails in the Dewitt yards of the New York Central Railroad.
He was picked up by fellow employes[sic] and placed in a special train and brought to the city and then removed to the hospital. X-rays taken showed that no bones were broken although he suffered severe bruises.
