Windsor Beach, NY Fire Damages Resort, Nov 1908
FIRE VISITS SUMMER RESORT.
Rochester, N. Y., Nov. 2. -- Thirty-six cottages at Windsor Beach, a summer resort of Rochester on Lake Ontario, about seven miles from this city, were destroyed by fire Saturday entrailing a loss estimated at $117,000. The fire started from an oil heater in one of the cottages and, as there were no facilities for fighting the fire and a high wind was blowing, it spread with remarkable rapidity.
