Kingston, NY Drownings In Hudson River, Oct 1851

FATAL ACCIDENT -- THREE PERSONS DROWNED.
Last Sunday afternoon ROBERT T. SEYMOUR, ESQ., Coroner, was called to hold an inquest on the body of a woman named CRAGIN, who, together with another woman named O'HARA, and a man, were drowned in the river near the Slate Deck. A party consisting of eight or nine persons were coming towards the eastern shore in a row-boat, which proved to be too heavily loaded and swamped. The body ot the man had not been recovered when we went to press. The body of MISS O'HARA was recovered and taken care of by friends. The coroner's jusry rendered a verdict of accidental drowning. -- Kingston Journal.
