New York, NY Truck Accident, Nov 1914


To Avoid One Machine, Mrs. Grieco Stepped in Path of Another.

As she was crossing Prince Street, near the corner of Lafayette Street, yesterday morning Mrs. Lena Grieco of 43 Prince Street had to step back quickly to avoid being run down by a fast moving touring car. In doing so she stepped directly in front of an automobile truck loaded with three tons of trunks.

One wheel of the truck ran over Mrs. Grieco, killing her instantly. Witnesses who followed William Salvadore, the driver of the truck, to the Mulberry Street Station insisted that the touring-car driver, and for this reason Salvadore was not arrested.
