BOY KILLED IN THE STREET

Crossing the street near his home in Babylon, L. I., munching a piece of candy, HOWARD HOWELL, Jr. 5 years old, was killed instantly yesterday afternoon by an automobile driven by Frederick Arlington of Bayside, L. I. The boy had bought candy with pennies his mother gave him and started for his home in Pine Street. He failed to see the approaching car. Arlington applied the brakes, but could not stop in time. Coroner Moore did not detain the driver; setting an inquest for this morning.
