Rochester, NY Train Accident, Sept 1870

ROCHESTER, N. Y., Sept. 3.---A man named DANIEL ADAMS, of Batavia, at work on the Central Railroad bridge over the river, in this city, this morning, was run over by a locomotive, and had both of his legs cut off below the knees. He cannot recover from his injuries.
