Brooklyn, NY Runaway Accident, Jul 1909
Policeman Hurt Stopping Runaway.
Frightened by a passing automobile a pair of horses attached to a dirt cart owned by the Park Department ran away in Coney Island Avenue, near Caton Avenue, Brooklyn, yesterday afternoon about 2 o'clock. Policeman John Dolan of the Prospect Park station stopped the horses and in doing so was struck by the pole and badly hurt. He was taken to his home at 345 Sackett Street in a carriage.
