Kingston, NY Train-Truck Wreck, Aug 1926

FORD TRUCK STRUCK BY ULSTER & DELAWARE TRAIN
Sunday afternoon about 5:25, a Ford truck owned by Joseph Ronner of 208 Delaware avenue, was struck by an Ulster & Delaware train on the crossing near the Brinnier residence on Delaware avenue.
Mr. Ronner, accompanied by his wife, was driving west on Delaware avenue and a train of about 25 coal cars was going toward Rondout. Ronner claimed that he did not hear the bell or whistle of the train, or the signal bell that is on the crossing, as his car made so much noise.
The train in charge of Conductor H. Griffin and Engineer W. W. Schultz, was evidently going at a slow rate of speed as the collision did not damage Ronner's car very much. The left-front wheel and a fender were damaged. No one was hurt.
